Mind Map of My Research Question

My interpretation of the style of mind mapping (manually and digitally).

Product Design allows me to bring life to all my designs. I have used Borton's Framework in my work although Driscoll and Rolfe et al have the same kind of model I think it does not matter because there are other people's models of reflection that are famous like Kolb's Cycle of Reflective Practice, Gibbs' Reflective Cycle, Schon Reflective model and more. Ultimately all of them are designed to assist learn from experiences and actions.

Borton's Reflection model 'what, so what, now what' has changed my work process. I have researched different people's frameworks, and the frameworks are slightly different ways of looking back on experiences and help to focus on the quality of reflections. I chose Burton's Reflection model because it's straightforward and easy to implement in any situation. Borton developed the framework in the 1970s. His 'What' is the description and self-awareness level of the experience, what happened? 'So what' is the analysis and evaluation level, what is behind the experience, and what are the outcomes? 'Now what' is the synthesis level building on the outcomes of the previous two where we try to come up with new alternative actions and behaviors.

Borton's 'What' question: What was I thinking when I took the actions or made the decision that I did?

Borton's 'So what': How did I feel at the time of and after the experience, and why was it important?

Borton's 'Now what'What can I learn from or do differently next time?

Here is my First Product Design project which is on Redesigning JBL flip 4. I have added some eco-friendly features for adventurous people.

Here is my Second Product Design project which is on Redesigning JBL flip 4.

Borton's 'What' question: What was I thinking when I took the actions or made the decision that I did?

Here is my project of redesigning the JBL flip 4 Bluetooth speaker, which I have done last year. I did this model-making by targeting outgoers like me, the features I have added to the product are the compact of all that an adventurous person might need while traveling. I added three modes flashlight, a wireless charger, a solar-powered charger, and a touchscreen control panel for a trendy look.

Borton's 'So what': How did I feel at the time of and after the experience, and why was it important?

After designing the product, I felt it did not come out very well. I was not satisfied with the design, so I discussed it with other expert designers and got some ideas, and then thought of making the product again.

Borton's 'Now what'What can I learn from or do differently next time?

After researching a bit more than before my creative thinking expanded and the second design came out pretty well.
